Cover for kids up to the age of 31
Knowing your kids’ health is protected is important. And being able to keep your kids covered for longer, makes life easier. We were one of the first private health insurers to offer cover to adult dependants – whether they’re students or working – right up until they turn 31.
Full-time students can remain covered for free and working kids can remain covered for an additional premium (less than the amount they’d pay for an equivalent single person cover). You’ll need a Family Extension policy to keep adult dependants on your family’s cover.
HCF’s Eyecare and Dental Centres available to RT Health members
RT Health members can access HCF’s network of Eyecare and Dental Centres.
Having healthy teeth, mouth and gums is important for your general health and wellbeing. And we know dental services can be very expensive. That’s why we help our members with access to great dental providers, to help curb the cost of keeping your smile in good condition.
RT Health members on eligible extras cover can pay no gap^ on a range of popular dental services like check-ups and scale and cleans via HCF Dental Centres. You can find out more here.
And, you also can’t put a price on your eyesight. That’s why it’s important to see your optometrist regularly to make sure your eyes stay healthy. RT Health has teamed with a range of optical providers across the country to provide members with discounts on glasses frames, lenses and contact lenses (depending on your policy) so you can keep your eyes in tip top shape. Our Find a Doctor or Hospital tool
We know Aussie families are concerned about the rising cost of living, so to help keep your out-of-pocket expenses down, our Find a Doctor or Find a Hospital tool should be the first place you look.
The tool lets you search for professionals by their speciality, suburb, postcode or hospital. You’ll also find additional information, including languages spoken and hospital affiliations.

Whether it’s a regular chiro appointment or making sure the kids have their dental check-ups, your Extras cover is your ticket to staying well.
Extras cover empowers you to take control of your own health and wellbeing, knowing you’re supported with regular health treatments when you need them.
